Earth Safe will come and check your smoke alarm clean and replace the battery every 12 months. This will be tested and a certificate will be issued. in the inspection of the alarm to be older then 5 years we can replace it whilst on site.

SMOKE ALARMS ARE MANDATORY IN ALL NSW RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES

Under the NSW Residential Tenancies Act 2010, Landlords must ensure that smoke alarms are installed and maintained in the residential premises in accordance with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation (Smoke Alarms). Penalties and fines apply for non-compliance.

The Building Code of Australia states where alarms must be installed. The type, number and location of alarms depend on the age, size and layout of each property. We only use trained professionals to ensure your property is compliant with regulations.

SMOKE ALARMS MUST BE REPLACED EVERY 10 YEARS

Under Australian Standard AS3786, all smoke alarms have a lifespan of around 10 years and must be replaced when expired. As part of our annual service we will test and replace all batteries and alarms where required.
